Juicy Couture

No, I’m not talking the tired brand of clothing. I am talking juicing – like pressed or blended. Think lots of healthy vegetables and fruits cleansing your bod and mind. I decided to go on a 3-day cleanse a few weeks ago, and have been adding pure juices to the diet plan ever since. And. I. Feel. Better. Than. Ever. That’s all I will say about it because I don’t want to be preachy.

Now, there are other ways to enjoy veggies… and I won’t ever give up cake. Enter Zucchini cake.

Fresh lemon wedges in water have always been refreshing. Now they’re taking it to another level: Citrus + mint ice cubes!

Even little piggies are down with the fruits and veggies. They know what’s up with all those antioxidants.

Have an excellent day friends.

Foundation

A good foundation is important in all areas. For our structures, your face, your family. Don’t build upon something unstable – whether it’s the ground or a relationship. Right?

Good sleep can make or break your day. It’s the foundation of your well-being.

This treehouse in Tennessee couldn’t have been built without a solid… you guessed it.

One can not have incredible tomato sauce without the ripest, sweetest tomatoes.

Loving yourself first is the best foundation for building a happy life.

Have a solid weekend. peace!

A Toast

I have a hard time giving toasts, I am better at writing them. But when it comes to actually eating toast, I’m all in. Especially when it’s topped with grilled nectarines and blackberries.

A significant amount of olive-oiled soaked toast in the freshest, most colorful salad ever? In.

Dogs wearing french toast costumes? Not buying it, and neither is Mr. Frenchie.

Fun with Toaster Strudel? Brilliant.

Heartbeat

The title of this blog has two meanings…one’s a fond memory of my Don Johnson crush days. I heard that song on satellite radio yesterday. OMG is that actually Hearbeat I am hearing? I gotta pull out some Miami Vice DVDs STAT.

The other heartbeat I have been thinking about lately is those belonging to animals. To make a long story short,  I have decided not to eat them anymore. It’s not really a health thing –  but more of a I-love-animals-too-much-to-eat-them issue. So get ready for lots of vegetarian pretties — like baked zucchini fries.

If anyone hates on my decisions, I’ll just smile and do exactly as I wish anyways. Do you agree that haters just need some luv?

Wrapping it all  up with sweets today. Chocolate chip cookie dough pops, to be exact. Be still my heart.

First World Problems

Hmmm…to have a hotdog or burger on Independence Day. That is exactly what I call a first world problem, friends. Be thankful today that those are the types of issues you wrestle with. I am so incredibly grateful to live where I live and have choices about where to go, what to wear, what to eat, what to say, who to love. Not all of us are this lucky.

Pepsi or coke? First world problem.

Rice krispy treats. To make them patriotic or leave them plain? Another FWP.

To put cherries on this grilled chicken…or not? I think you get my drift by now… But the recipe looks amazing.

Everyone please have the best ID4 ever – make it colorful and count those blessings. Thank you to all who read SP!
